Mallikarjun Kharge ने पार्टी नेताओं से कहा कि बजट के हिसाब से ही गारंटी की घोषणा करें, नहीं तो अगले दस साल सत्ता से बाहर रहना पड़ेगा।
कांग्रेस अध्यक्ष Mallikarjun Kharge ने चुनाव की तैयारियों में जुटी अपनी सरकारों को चेतावनी देते हुए कहा कि जोश में आकर कोई भी निर्णय न लें, अन्यथा आर्थिक मुश्किलों का सामना करना पड़ सकता है। उन्होंने कांग्रेस इकाइयों को अपने बजट के हिसाब से ही गारंटियों की घोषणा करने और वही वादा करने की सलाह दी जिसे पूरा कर सकें।
कर्नाटक में आर्थिक संकट झेल रही सिद्धारमैया सरकार का उदाहरण देते हुए खड़गे ने पार्टी नेताओं को स्पष्ट संदेश दिया। वे चुनावी अभियान में कांग्रेस के घोषणा पत्र के वादों पर चर्चा कर रहे थे। उन्होंने कहा कि कर्नाटक में पांच गारंटियों का वादा किया गया था, और उसी का अनुसरण करते हुए महाराष्ट्र में भी यही वादे किए गए। अब स्थिति ऐसी है कि एक गारंटी रद्द करने की नौबत आ गई है। खड़गे ने कहा कि शायद आप लोग अखबार नहीं पढ़ते, लेकिन मैंने पढ़ा है, इसलिए मैं यह बात कह रहा हूं।
खड़गे ने नेताओं को सलाह दी कि उतनी ही गारंटियों की घोषणा करें जितनी पूरी कर सकते हैं। उन्होंने कहा कि यदि सड़कों के लिए धन नहीं होगा, तो जनता का आक्रोश झेलना पड़ेगा। अगर सरकार असफल रही, तो आने वाली पीढ़ियों को बदनामी और लंबी अवधि तक सत्ता से बाहर रहना पड़ सकता है। उनका यह बयान कर्नाटक सरकार द्वारा शक्ति योजना, जो महिलाओं को मुफ्त बस यात्रा प्रदान करती है, की समीक्षा करने के सुझाव के बाद आया है।
इससे पहले, खड़गे ने प्रधानमंत्री मोदी की ‘एक राष्ट्र, एक चुनाव’ की पहल को यह कहते हुए खारिज कर दिया कि संसद में सर्वसम्मति के बिना ऐसा संभव नहीं है। पत्रकारों से बात करते हुए खड़गे ने कहा कि पीएम मोदी का यह विचार सभी दलों को विश्वास में लिए बिना लागू नहीं किया जा सकता; इसके लिए सर्वसम्मति आवश्यक है।

Mallikarjun Kharge told the party leaders to declare guarantees according to the budget, otherwise they will have to remain out of power for the next ten years.
Warning his governments preparing for the elections, Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge said that they should not take any decision in excitement, otherwise they may have to face financial difficulties. He advised the Congress units to declare guarantees according to their budget and make only those promises which they can fulfill.
Citing the example of the Siddaramaiah government facing financial crisis in Karnataka, Kharge gave a clear message to the party leaders. He was discussing the promises of the Congress manifesto in the election campaign. He said that five guarantees were promised in Karnataka, and following that, the same promises were made in Maharashtra. Now the situation is such that the time has come to cancel one guarantee. Kharge said that maybe you people do not read newspapers, but I have read it, so I am saying this.
Kharge advised the leaders to announce only as many guarantees as they can fulfil. He said if there is no money for roads, they will have to face public outrage. If the government fails, future generations may face disgrace and a long period out of power. His statement came after the Karnataka government suggested reviewing the Shakti scheme, which provides free bus travel to women.
Earlier, Kharge rejected Prime Minister Modi’s ‘One Nation, One Election’ initiative, saying it is not possible without consensus in Parliament. Speaking to reporters, Kharge said PM Modi’s idea cannot be implemented without taking all parties into confidence; consensus is necessary for it.
